LES LOCATAIRES

A quartet dedicated to Dominique Bagouet

„The starting point is this title like one of a concise and short story about a group portrait. Work on rhythm, on energy and space give the choreography a sustained tension with situations which can glide from the catastrophic to the burlesque... Minuscule dramas triggered by the interplay of tensions aggravated or abandoned surprises the senses and modify the sense.“ Didier Théron

The tenants and the self-portrait of a group...
„The community, the collective, the „family“, in a restricted or in a broad sense, is a subject which I continuously play with and challenge with new interpreters - artists. Today, this piece keeps its entire force, its intensity, and continues to address dancers and choreographers throughout the world. I continued working on it with Monochrome Circus, Japanese artists, in 2004/05 ; with the Ballet of Greifswald in ex - East Germany in 2005, and I took some research time with a collective of choreographers and dancers from Perth in Australia in 2004.“ Didier Théron
